AWANA CLUB
Children Bible Study
Awana Clubs is built on our 3B ministry philosophy of child discipleship: Belong, Believe, Become. Children build spiritual resilience when they feel they belong to Jesus, when they believe in the truth of the Bible and then become disciple makers in their own right.

Operation Christmas Child
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Every year since the start in 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has collected shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. Since then, more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
This ministry happens each year starting in October, with boxes gathered locally by late November just before Thanksgiving. Led by the Szymoniak Family here at Chapel of Praise, this ministry is a great way to involve the whole family in missions work!
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School (VBS) comes to Chapel of Praise every August.
Vacation Bible School is a week-long children’s program. It includes food, games, and Bible story time. Watch the Church Event Calendar for dates scheduled in 2024.

Kibera Kids Center (KKC)/ Life Springs Academy sits as an oasis adjacent to the massive slum of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. Kibera is a constantly evolving ministry meeting the needs of children in and around the slums. It features multiple buildings and ministries reaching several hundred children each day. The center primarily functions as an onsite educational facility for children in the area who may not be able to receive any education. The residents are boarded and clothed by the learning center. Orphans receive a scholarship to cover their place at the school. A new dorm is being built to house preschool and young children from the slums.
